Black Church Coalition of the Bluegrass Inc

The Black Church Coalition of the Bluegrass is a diverse group of individuals and congregations of various faith traditions that collects and distributes money to provide human services to some of the neediest citizens of our area, people in crisis who have been screened by social workers in existing agencies. The Coalition's confidential grants are the final part of the financial assistance required to meet housing or medical costs. Ninety-seven cents of each dollar actually go to help a person in dire need. The Coalition's secondary goal is to educate participants about various programs of interest and use to our citizens; this is accomplished by informative presentations at the regular monthly meetings.
