It has been five years since we lost Bubba (Vaughn Bigelow Jr) to a senseless act of gun violence. Vaughn's memory continues to inspire us with his kindness, joy and infectious laughter. Help us continue to honor his legacy by making a positive impact in the world.
Support Big Waves
Big Waves is a non-profit organization created to honor the memory of Vaughn Bigelow Jr. The purpose of Big Waves is to raise awareness about mental health and gun violence, build a stronger community, nurture and grow the sport of water polo in Colorado and spread smiles one ripple at a time.
How Your Donations Help
Your tax-deductible donations help us fund gun safety programs at gun ranges throughout the country, as well as help fund youth mental health support programs. A smarter and safer gun owner can save lives, as can providing kids with an outlet to listen, to be heard and to learn how to cope.
Your contributions also help us provide free gun locks to gun owners across the country. We have sent gun locks to 42 states so far. Help us reach all 50 states!
Finally, your donations help us provide scholarships to water polo athletes in Vaughn's memory, as Vaughn was an avid water polo player and we are so proud to give annual scholarships to athletes pursuing his dream.
