I’m Onyx and I need your help.
Before Big Heart Ranch, my world was forty-nine horses leaning on empty air. Too long on our feet—hooves curled beyond comprehension, joints screaming—some of us couldn’t stand. Too hungry. Too dehydrated to take another step.
There were 49… then 8. 6 found homes. Then 2. I was one of the two... and pregnant. My baby and I were scheduled to be euthanized. Time was gone.
Then a miracle: two beautiful strangers—chose love and brought me to Big Heart Ranch in Malibu, where over 20 years, hundreds like me have found sanctuary and solace in the love.
Since the end of 2024, the ranch has been ravaged by fires and floods. We need your help to raise a new barn for myself and my new friends... and we need it soon.

- $50 — bale of hay + prenatal supplements

- $500 — structural lumber & fasteners
- $1,000 — lighting, fans, safe electrical for a stall
- $2,500 — foaling-stall build-out
- $5,000+ — barn structure
