Imagine, for a moment, if you can: The scorching Oklahoma summer sun beating down relentlessly, the mercury pushing past 100 degrees. Now picture living through this relentless heat with no respite, the hard, unforgiving concrete under you, covered with nothing but a thin layer of wood chips to provide minimal comfort. This is the reality that the small rescued dogs, or as we lovingly call them "littles", at Big Bones Canine Rescue face every day.

Today, we come to you with a specific, urgent need: To give our little ones a chance at comfort and reprieve from the oppressive summer heat. With your help, we aim to purchase twelve elevated, steel-framed beds that will replace their hard, uncomfortable sleeping quarters.

Moreover, we also seek to secure two window air-conditioning units to combat the punishing heat of Oklahoma's summers. The difference that climate control will make to their lives cannot be overstated. For these dogs, it is not merely a luxury - it is a vital step towards healing and recovery, a testament that humans can offer more than neglect and abandonment, that we can provide love, care, and comfort.

Your generosity can make this possible. Just $25 can contribute to an elevated bed to lift one small dog off the hard concrete, and $100 can provide a day's cool air for all our rescues, bringing relief from the oppressive heat.

Every dollar you donate means a world of difference for these little ones. It means comfort in place of hardness, coolness instead of heat, hope in place of despair. Your donation provides more than just material comforts – it brings them the understanding that they are valued, that they matter.

Big Bones Canine Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 Dog Rescue that gives death row dogs a second chance at a better life. We help dogs from all over the country. Young, old, healthy, sick, big, small.....they all have a place in our hearts.

We want to start off by expressing our immense gratitude to everyone who has shared, donated, and supported us after our last post about needing your help. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise $10,000, which is truly amazing!

However, we are still in desperate need of your assistance. We are currently facing a shortfall of $24,000, and with adoptions and donations down, we are struggling more than ever. To be completely transparent, we are scared about the future of our organization if we don't receive help soon.

We have 52,000 followers on this page, and if each person could donate just one dollar, we would be able to overcome our financial challenges and continue saving the dogs we love. Or if you can give up a Starbucks latte for just one day and donate $5, it would make a significant impact.

It's not easy for us to come to you again and ask for help, but the reality is that if we don't receive additional support, we are at risk of shutting down. If you are able to donate, we kindly ask that you consider using Venmo or PayPal as the funds are received immediately. If you can only donate through Facebook, please do so, we just won't get these funds till up to 72 days. Out of the $10,000 we raised on our last post, $6,000 of it was through Facebook and they still are holding onto it. Unfortunately we need funds immediately.
