We are going back to Guatemala in January 2025. A group from several states will be traveling to work with Bethel Ministries International. We are planning all the projects to bless the people in Guatemala. We need your help.

Inflation has continued to make life hard for the people in Guatemala. At a time when we all feel like we need to withdraw and spend less, I’m asking everyone to lead with generosity. Every dollar you donate will make a difference.

God will provide for their needs through individuals, families, churches and organizations. God opens people’s hearts, and they feel led to give in whatever way they can. It would be easy to push this need aside and write it off as “not the right time in your life." I can’t stress enough how urgent the need is in the lives of the impoverished and disabled…and for Bethel Ministries International. They desperately need your help. Now is the time!

Here are the projects you can sponsor:

1. Wheelchair distribution - $8,500 (50 chairs @ $170)

2. House - $4,270

3. Bunk bed - $350

4. Stove installs - $1,320 (6 @ $220)

5. Bathroom install - $850

6. Kitchen - $550

7. Food Distributions - $750 (15 families @ $50)

8. Bibles - $315 (90 @ $3.50)

9. Blankets - $675 (45 @ $15)

10. Wash Station - $85

10. Tabletop stove and gas tank - $200

11. Elderly support – $1,620 (12 months @ $135) – Food, eggs, propane for Lucy

In total, we need to raise $19,485 for our projects.

The wheelchair sponsorships are critical. Not only does a disabled person receive a wheelchair, but that sponsorship also offsets the cost of the staff in the wheelchair shop, providing much-needed employment and benefits. Many of the Bethel employees are disabled themselves.

We continue to support our dear, elderly friend Lucy. We have visited her several times, and she is in a very fragile medical condition and needs life-sustaining food and propane to cook. She is such a joyous person. Lucy loves to sing and share hope with anyone she meets. Bethel visits her monthly to give aid and check on her. I can’t wait to see her again and hear her sing songs to the Lord.

Each man is responsible for paying his own airfare, hotel and food. All donations made on behalf our team go DIRECTLY to the projects. No donations are used for personal expenses.

Please consider supporting our projects. We can’t do this alone. We need your help to make these projects a reality. Christmas and the surrounding holidays are times when people are the most generous. Please share this need with your friends and family. I truly need your help.

We’re raising money to benefit Bethel Ministries International, and any donation will help make an impact.

This will be Calvary Chapel Sequim’s 4th annual trip to partner with Bethel Ministries International. Bethel Ministries International is an inter-denominational 501c3 Wheelchair Ministry that provides mobility to the disabled in Guatemala. Through home construction, food distribution and educational sponsorship, their ministry exists to advance a powerful transformation in the whole of society, one life at a time.

Our missions team will be going April 19th-26th, 2024- building a house for a family, distributing food, and fitting wheelchairs for those in need! Please consider supporting our trip in prayer or financially.

Great news…we’re finally going back to Guatemala in person in January 2023. For the first time since 2020, a group of men will travel to work directly with Bethel Ministries International. This is one of my favorite times of the year as we begin planning all the projects and ways we’ll bless the people in Guatemala. I need your help.

While travel restrictions and immunization requirements have been lifted, many volunteer teams have not begun traveling to Guatemala again. Bethel relies on teams to raise money and sponsor projects. With fewer teams visiting, fundraising has been critical for Bethel. They need our help more than ever.

Before COVID-19, life was already hard for people in Guatemala. Poverty was a daily reality. No jobs, no food, no hope. Since COVID, life has gotten so much worse. Charity organizations were prevented from visiting people for a very long time. People were literally kept in their homes with no opportunity to get food or help.

This is the second year I’m raising funds for projects but will not be able to go down in person to do the work. Due to the travel uncertainty and not wanting to risk taking COVID to the disabled in Guatemala, I’m coordinating with Ben and Emily Mooney once again to use these funds for the specific projects I am raising donations for. I truly want to go, but the cautious thing is to allow Bethel, who is already on the ground there, to use the funds. I have the highest trust that Bethel will use the funds as we desire. I’ve been working alongside Bethel since 2009. They are my friends. They are family. This year, they took photos of the people and projects and gave us detailed feedback on where all the money was spent. All money I would have personally spent on airline tickets, in-country expenses such as hotels and food, I am sending to be used for donations. I have every intention of traveling down to Guatemala in the future. It breaks my heart not to personally go. I think this year has shown us how quickly things can change.

We are a team of 4 (Anna, Ayden, Katie, Hans) from Calvary Chapel Sequim raising money to build homes (typically for single moms) & distribute wheelchairs in Guatemala in partnership with Bethel Ministries International.

Our heart is for those who are struggling to have a safe and secure place to live and raise their children. And for those who are left out of community because they are bedbound and can't afford a wheelchair. Bethel Ministries International is a beautiful group of people who live & serve in Guatemala to reach these vulnerable groups where they are at, and we are blessed to be able to join them.

Over one week, our team will be building 2 houses, custom fit & distribute 50 mobility devices/wheelchairs for the disabled, and share food & Bibles.
