Home for the Holidays '22- Ben Jackson Foundation
The Ben Jackson Foundation honors the sacrifice and resilience demonstrated by enlisted service members by helping them stay connected to the people who support them throughout their commitment to our country. We raise money from generous donors, which we distribute to service members in the form of Ticket Home awards. Enlisted members of any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces who have been in the military for less than 4 years and/or have not yet been home since arriving at their first permanent duty station can apply for a Ticket Home award of $500 toward travel from a domestic base or $1,000 from a base overseas.
November is a time to honor Veterans, as well as our active duty military, and give Thanks for all that we have. This November, we have a goal of raising $15,000 and reuniting 20 military families for the Holidays!! Every dollar donated during this campaign will be going directly to a service member traveling home this December and January. Although this may seem like a lofty goal, this is only a small fraction of the number of applications we have every month.
Though we recognize that there are many factors that contribute to a service member’s well-being, our hope is that we can play a small role by helping maintain important family connections.
