Celebrate Together...Kara King Day!
"You CAN do hard things. Humans of every generation do hard things. And this is your hard thing. This is a story that you will tell your grandkids about. Make it a good story." -- Kara King, speaking to her middle-school students.
This past February, Kara put those words into action. During the historic winter storm that shut down our city, she did the hard things. She worked tirelessly to coordinate propane resources and access to water, ensure food deliveries for members of the community who needed it, organized brush clean-up resources, negotiated showers for us from Hill Country Indoor, and so much more. There was no stone unturned as Kara advocated for her citizens...all while her own family was impacted.
To show our gratitude for Kara King's heroic actions during and after the storm, we are coming together as a community to donate to the Bee Cave Police Benevolent Foundation in her name. The foundation is a 501(c)3 and all donations go directly to the foundation, not to BeeWomen.
The Bee Cave Police Benevolent Foundation offers LTHS scholarships and more http://bcpbf.org/contact/.

This event is sponsored by BeeWomen of Bee Cave, Texas, a 501(c)4. To learn more ways you can engage in the community through BeeWomen, visit beewomen.org.
