PLEASE help us help you become an EMT!

We need supplies and equipment to maintain and expand the ONLY PA EMS approved ‘bridge course’ for Outdoor Emergency Care technicians who desire to become PA EMTs through an accelerated educational program.

The Bear Creek EMS Program is made up of volunteer patrollers, EMTs and EMS providers who are dedicated to providing accelerated EMT certification courses and continuing education classes to patrollers within Pennsylvania. All donations are applied to supplies, equipment and some travel expenses. Instructors in the program do not receive compensation.

The Bear Creek EMS Program is an accredited program approved by the Pa Bureau of EMS, therefore all EMS courses and continuing educational classes comply with the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) and National EMS Educational Standards.

Mission Statement: Provide enhanced, accelerated education to National Ski Patrol (NSP) certified Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) personnel allowing them to test and certify as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), fulfilling the ongoing need for essential first line medical service providers to our communities and ski slopes.

Vision: We seek to grow the number of certified EMTs available to communities by providing state approved training to currently certified Outdoor Emergency Care technicians.
