About Beacons, Inc.

Beacons, Inc. was created by families to provide a robust postsecondary option in San Diego County for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to listen to those we serve so that we can provide the tools, lifelong learning options, and experiences to help individuals lead self-directed, fulfilled lives. We do this through the provision of outcome driven vocational training, building of community pathways, facilitation of meaningful social relationships, and creation of individualized life planning. Small-group ratios, assistive technology, adapted pacing and committed teams are committed to helping others achieve their vision of success, with purpose and joy to the best of their ability.
