Everyone calls me “The Truck.” I am the instrument and equipment truck for the Brecksville Broadview Heights High School Marching Band. I have been with them for 12 years but was recently told it’s time for me to retire. Please help my BAND FAMILY raise the money needed to purchase my replacement.
The new truck has some mighty big wheels to fill. He will have to keep all the instruments safe and watch over my best friends, the “loading crew” who work hard to keep me filled with fun for every Friday night away football game. Without a new truck, there will not be any instruments at the away games. Without those instruments, there are no band members - just students. Without those drums, there are no cadences to march into the stadiums – just silence. Without those tubas and trombones, there are no stand tunes and fight songs to play or half-time shows to perform – just fans cheering for the football team. The band needs instruments and the instruments need a TRUCK!
The new truck will be younger and stronger than me but will not have all my wonderful memories from more than 3000 students and their instruments. His adventures will bring new memories as he listens to all the conversations about high school, music, and how much fun band is. It will be hard for me to say farewell, but with your help I can soon retire happy knowing that the new truck will be taking good care of my Brecksville Broadview Heights High School BAND FAMILY and their instruments.
The band has many roads to travel, cities to visit, and miles yet to drive. Don’t leave the instruments stranded. Please donate!
All the members of the Brecksville-Broadivew Heights High School will be so appreciative of the donations recieved towards the new truck! Looking forward to many more musical miles!
