Baptist Memorial Health Care System, Inc. is operated exclusively for the benefit of, to perform the functions of, or to carry out the purposes of Baptist Memorial Health Care corporation and its affiliates. Baptist Memorial Health Care System, Inc. will carry out the functions and purposes of such entities as long as they are exempt from federal income tax under section 501(C)(3) and not private foundations by virtue of qualification under section 501(C)(1) or section 509(a)(2).
