Bald Head Island Conservancy Inc

Hello everyone! I have been fortunate (or unfortunate in some eyes!) to have been selected to run this year’s World’s Toughest Foot Race, Badwater 135. Starting in the lowest and hottest point in the contiguous US at Badwater Basin in Death Valley, I will traverse 135 miles through Death Valley National Park and finish at the trail head to the highest point in the contiguous US at Mt. Whitney. In the spirit of the race, I am holding a money raising campaign for a Badwater supported and close to my home and heart charity, the Bald Head Island Conservancy. Bald Head Island is not only a beautiful hidden gem along the North Carolina coast, but also home to Badwater Cape Fear race and the Bald Head Island Conservancy. BHIC champions the sustainability of barrier islands through environmental research programs and island wildlife stewardship. BHIC, its volunteers and scientists are also dedicated to protecting Sea Turtles and their environment. They work with partners around the state, and world to protect habitats, conserve nesting beaches, engage the public in conservation efforts, educate children about the importance of marine life.
