Help Build a Home for a Family in Tijuana
My name is Sean Campbell, and I have been partnering with Baja Vision Ministries and leading Mexico house build trips for 13 years. Each year, our team works alongside Baja Vision to help provide safe, permanent homes for families in need in Tijuana, Mexico.
The cover video on this page is from a previous house build and gives a glimpse of the type of work and impact these trips have. The attached photo is of the family we will be building for this year.
This year, we will be building a home for a family that truly needs stability and safety.
The family includes Brenda, a 55-year-old mother who works in a factory, and her children:
• Camila, age 19
• Christopher, age 14
• Elignahi, age 12
They live in Tijuana, in the Cumbres area.
Their current home is made of scrap wood, and the roof has collapsed twice. The local church, led by Pastor Julio, has been helping them try to make repairs, but the home is beyond what small fixes can solve. What this family truly needs is a safe, stable house they can depend on.
How this fundraiser works
This fundraiser is set up through GoFundMe Charity, with Baja Vision Ministries as the direct beneficiary. Because Baja Vision is a registered 501(c)(3), all donations are tax-deductible and go directly to the ministry.
How funds will be used
Donations raised through this campaign will be used for:
• House building materials for this family
• Room and board for the build team while serving in Mexico
The build team will be paying for their own transportation and personal food expenses.
If funds raised exceed the costs listed above, the additional support will go toward:
• Food and relational ministry with the family and surrounding community during the trip
• Any remaining overage will support Baja Vision’s general ministry work
Transparency
This fundraiser is created specifically for this year’s house build. All donations are fully trackable through this page, and funds are deposited directly into Baja Vision’s account as they are given. To maintain clarity, a new fundraiser will be created each year.
