Backpack Bed for Homeless provides Backpack Beds to people experiencing unsheltered homelessness. The Backpack Bed is an emergency bed that looks like a backpack and rolls out to a bed with mattress. Lightweight at 6.7lbs it has pockets to carry belongings. The Backpack Bed is made from materials that are fire retardant, waterproof and mildew resistant. It also includes a hypothermia blanket for the cold and a full body insect mesh for summer. The Backpack Bed keeps people alive in winter and protects them year round. The Backpack Bed is study proven to improve dignity, health, sleep, warmth, comfort and safety. Our program partners with existing homeless services to provide Backpack Beds to homeless people sleeping on the street.
