A Hero Gave Everything. Now His Family Needs Us
El Monte Police Sergeant Michael Paredes dedicated his life to protecting others. He was tragically killed in the line of duty, leaving behind his wife, Janine, and their children, Bella and Jacob.
Today, this beautiful family is doing their best to rebuild their lives after an unimaginable loss — and they shouldn’t have to do it alone.
A Dream Trip to Help Them Heal
Before Michael’s passing, the Paredes family dreamed of a winter trip to Mammoth Mountain. To honor Michael’s memory, Back The Family Foundation is making that dream a reality:
A healing, joy-filled Dream Trip to Mammoth Mountain — January 2–9.
This weeklong experience will help Janine and the kids reconnect, rediscover joy, and create new memories as they continue their healing journey.
