• Proceeds help provide a safe house for victims of domestic violence.
• Women and children that do not have the help to start over, will be provided with appropriate necessities and resources to get on their feet.
• Case management will be provided to those in need. Therapy, resources for children, food pantries , and more.

• Intimate partner violence includes physical violence, sexual violence, and stalking.
• Females ages 20-24 are at the greatest risk for intimate partner violence.
• An average of 24 people per minute are victims of rape, physical violence or stalking by an intimate partner in the United States.
• Children witnessed violence in nearly 1 in 4 (22%) intimate partner violence cases filed in state courts.
• 30% to 60% of intimate partner violence perpetrators also abuse children in the household.

Suzanne was born in Detroit, and lived and worked her entire life in Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University and worked for over 30 years as a social worker with the State of Michigan. She worked tirelessly advocating for children and working to find them loving adoptive families. 

She is survived by her loving husband Gerald who she treasured for almost 49 years. Gerald also dedicated his life to service while working and retiring as a social worker in the State of Michigan. Her children Brianna and Christopher, her son in law Jason,  her grandchildren Maren and Keaton, and her miniature dachshunds Charlie and Roxie all who enveloped her heart.

Throughout her life, she supported one main organization through charitable donations. Aware is located in Jackson Michigan where she spent most of her working career. They provide many services that were dear to Suzanne's heart. In addition, the percentage of donations that go directly to services is very high as they do an outstanding job keeping administrative costs to a minimum. 

100% of the donations collected will be directly transferred from this gofundme account to Aware.
