Support Autism Families in Memory of Iraj Afshar
Iraj Afshar was a grandfather to an autistic teenager, Daryan, when he passed away on March 8, 2025. He loved Daryan very much and wanted to ensure a bright future for his grandson and other children struggling with autism.
The Autism Society of San Diego has been helping autism families with support groups, family camps, water safety, and social/mental/educational programming for almost 60 years. As one of 70 nationwide affiliates of the Autism Society of America, there is no better organization to help advance autism awareness, acceptance, and advancement.
Your generosity will ensure that neurodiverse children like Daryan will have the same access to services as other neurotypical children do and a brighter future.
My father was always there for his friends and community and used to say that, 'If you do enough good for enough people, then you will live forever.' Your support will keep his memory and his vision alive for autism families in San Diego.
