Auntie Na’s Summer Camp Fundraiser
As part of the ever growing health concern, summer camp will operate with social distancing and safety as our primary practice. We are seeking financial donations for food, water, hand sanitizer, masks, art making supplies, general supplies, and operations cost.
Summer camp runs July 13 - August 16 and will provide 20 kids with 3 meals a day and 2 snacks. We will hold daily educational classes including black history, art therapy, installation art, printmaking, music making, and a theater production as the culminating camp project. Our goal is help campers explore their relationship to creativity by engaging with a variety of art, music, and performance based experiences. We will purchase crayons, markers, glue, paper and fabrics to facilitate the summer camp programming.
With the global pandemic, growing food scarcity and persistence of racism in America, this year has been exceptionally challenging. Our summer program will provide structure and space for black kids to explore their own ideas and the tools they need to thrive. Our educational programming will help the kids develop a sense of identity in the context of our world.
Please join us in supporting the community of Auntie Na’s Village and giving these kids the structure to explore their own ideas, emotions and dreams!!!
