KA for Equality: Atlanta Legal Aid Fund
Amongst the Kappa Alpha Order’s many values are leadership, knowledge, and excellence. When there is a travesty of justice, the brothers of the Kappa Alpha Order Epsilon Chapter at Emory University hold these values high and support the need for equality. We stand in solidarity with the black community and fully support improving the lives of black individuals and communities, aspiring to create a persisting change within our local communities and nation as a whole.
The brothers of the Epsilon chapter of the Kappa Alpha Order plan on matching every dollar donated to our GoFundMe up to $1,500. We kindly ask you to help us make the world a better place and take action against racism and intolerance.
We are currently collecting donations to support the Atlanta Legal Aid Fund. The Atlanta Legal Aid Fund is a non-profit organization that offers free civil legal aid for low income people across metro Atlanta that can not afford an attorney. Lawyers supported by the Legal Aid Fund help their clients navigate the complexities of the court system and ensure that they are given the representation they deserve.
While donating serves as just one step in combating the long-entrenched systems of racism and inequality, your donation will go a long way in supporting organizations that are working to ensure justice for the disenfranchised in this country. We will continue to strive to support oppressed groups in our words and actions, and we hope that the conversations around racism and police brutality continue to be heard.
Sincerely,
The Brothers of the Kappa Alpha Order
