Meet Our Miracle Grumbly Dachshund – A Second Chance at Life Needs Your Help
UPDATE is that although we didn't have the funds, The General DID have an ultrasound and the good news is that his abnormally large prostate is NOT cancer! There might be something of concern in his 'coin purse', so that will be addressed when he gets neutered. Other good news is that his organs look good! Hooray!
Sediment was found in his gall bladder so he's on new meds for that, plus he continues with his eye meds since there is concern about him going blind (his sight isn't perfect), so the drops are critical to help reduce that chance, PLUS helps with his dry eye condition.
The yeast smell issue is ongoing and so medicated baths will be more often than before and luckily, he's a champ with baths, as well as his eye drops! Doesn't even grumble!
Thank you to those who have donated to help this 22 scruffy pounder! Our credit card is at it's max and yet somehow, with your help, we go forward! HAVE TO!!!!
His story:
The General, our little dachshund is not just any dog—he's a survivor, a fighter, and a senior with more personality than most! Rescued on the very day he was scheduled to be euthanized, he's been a testament to the power of second chances and the resilience of a dog's spirit.
Now, he's facing a new challenge. We need to get him an ultrasound to determine if he has prostate cancer, and time is of the essence. He is a sweet, grumpy old man who oozes so much silly love, and we're determined to give him every chance to keep on doing just that. The world needs more smiles and joy and he's just the scruffy 22 pounder to do it!
Your donation can help us get him the medical care he desperately needs. Every little bit counts and brings us closer to finding out what's next for this beloved, grumbly silly boy. Please, if you are able to help.....
This miracle dog deserves everything good and that includes health. He has a mission to fulfill, enlarging hearts, making them warm and gushy and we gotta make sure he can get to work on his goals! The ultrasound will enable us to determine what he needs and to make sure he gets it.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity! The General is humbled. And grumbly in the most beautiful way.
