Cycling From Aspen to Santa Monica for Aspen Hope
On Sunday 18th October, I will be departing Aspen, CO, cycling through to Santa Monica, CA. The 1150-mile trip will take me (hopefully) 11 days through the Colorado mountain, the Red Rock of South Utah, Las Vegas and finally into Southern California.
This is a self-supported trip, no support crew. Just me, my brain and the road. Originally the trip was planned as a way for me to get away for a while. Clear my head. After my cousin passed early this year.
A passion of mine is always been to help the youth of any community I’m a part of. Depression/suicide rates amongst people under 18 is high! Much higher than you thought. More so in females.
Therefore, my ride will now be a fundraiser. My goal is $5000 but ultimately, I want to crush that! The recipient of the donations will be Aspen Hope Center.
