Asha for Education

Hi! We are the Minnesota Chapter of Asha for Education. Asha’s volunteer team supports projects that bring education and learning to underprivileged children in India. Asha is the 6th highest ranked Charity on Charity Navigator, so you know we’ll make your donations count!

This fundraiser is for the Balavidhyalaya School for Hearing-impaired, in Chennai, India - a school that Asha Minnesota supports and funds. Balavidyalaya is a free school for young hearing impaired children (from birth to 5 years). It is a private early intervention center and preschool preparing hearing impaired children for mainstream education. Teachers train very young children to acquire language and speech skills. Balavidyalaya’s teaching allows for children with hearing and speech disabilities to have the same opportunities as other children.

COVID-19 RELIEF FOR RURAL PRESCHOOLS IN WESTERN INDIA

Any donation, large or small will help pay for teacher salaries and meals for kids. Your money will help fund the Parner Preschools in rural Mahashtra. This project is supported by ASHA for Education, an international nonprofit dedicated to  providing basic education to underprivileged communities in India.

Our daughter Aaradhya turns three in March, 2017. On the occassion of her birthday we, her proud parents Juhi and Shrenik, wish to donate all of the proceeds from Aaradhya's birthday gifts to a charity.

Every parent, like us, wants to give their children the best education, however, there are those who do not have the means to. We have chosen "Asha for Education" as the charitable entity because their mission closely represents our beliefs for education and since their projects are based in India, where our roots lie.

Your help will mean a lot to Aaradhya and us, and even more to the children who directly benefit from it. Every single penny (other than a commission by the transaction processing agency) will directly go to Asha.
