Ascend Counseling Services, Inc.

My name is Moneefah Jackson, and I am the owner of Ascend Counseling Services, Inc. I have been in the social services field for 20+ years and have always been passionate about helping others to grow and reach their potentials. Additionally, I got into the helping field as a result of my personal experiences.

The agency's mission focus on providing quality-based services to individuals, families, children, and adolescents by helping them to ascend to their highest potential and meet their goals by rising up and moving forward with a new perspective in life. Through knowledge, support, and structure, we strive to empower each person to achieve their goals in an atmosphere of honesty, fairness, empathy, and respect.

I am currently raising funds for our Adolescents Support Group which aims to assist teens with fostering self-awareness, confidence, social and emotional intelligence skills; self-esteem and professional growth. The funds will also help to stabilize the program so that youngsters have a safe place where they can go to assist them with challenges that they are facing with their mental health. The funding will be allocated towards purchasing program materials (e.g., books, journals, supplies), providing healthy snacks and meals during sessions, developing and printing educational resources and implementing evaluation tools (e.g., surveys, quizzes) and hiring qualified professionals to facilitate the group.
