Arrowmont's mission is to enrich lives through art by developing aesthetic appreciation and fostering self-expression through practical hands-on experiences in a variety of media, classes, conferences and seminars; to offer quality educational opportunities for individuals of all ability levels, ages, race, color, creed, national or ethnic origin, practical backgrounds, and educational attainment in an environment conducive to creative thinking and expression; to offer a year-round gallery exhibition program to supplement educational sessions and provide visual stimulation to a broad public audience; to maintain Arrowmont School as a contributing force in the cultural life of national, regional and local communities by preserving the value of craftsmanship of handmade objects.
