Apex Friendship High School Band Boosters

Did you know that marching band programs in public high schools are funded almost completely by the fair share/participation fees paid by the parents, community donations, and student fundraisers? You can make a difference by donating today to the Apex Friendship High School Bands program. Every donation matters and no donation is too small to make a difference.

As we start the 2024-2025 band season, we have several immediate and ongoing needs. Funds raised will support the band in a variety of ways including the purchase or repair of instruments and equipment, uniforms, music, production sets, scholarships, competition fees, as well as safe transportation for band members and equipment to our numerous performances.

If you have ever been a student in a high school band or a parent of a band student, you know how special these programs are and how much that band teaches students. Participating in band, students learn multi-tasking, responsibility, discipline, teamwork, commitment, leadership, and how to win or lose gracefully. Most current or former band students will tell you that the band room is a second home, and that's exactly what the students at AFHS have with their band program.

The AFHS Patriot Regiment is a group of hard-working and talented student performers that won multiple Grand Championships in recent years. Winter Guard has also earned multiple major awards. Winter Winds, Winter Percussion, Concert Band and Jazz Band also perform at the highest levels of competition. Please help them continue their excellent work by making a donation to directly support their band program.

Fundraising is critical to the success of the Patriot Regiment! We receive very limited funding from Wake County Schools. Each student’s family pays a considerable fair share amount that only covers about two-thirds of the total band program cost — think music, uniforms, instruments for our growing program, and much more!

This year it is time to purchase new uniforms. With roughly 125 students to outfit this is a huge expense. All GoFundMe donations this year will go toward our new uniforms. Every $5 or $10 donation makes a difference! Thank you in advance for your help!
