Welcome to CLMB 4 Autism 2024! Every year, we raise funds and awareness for those with Autism. On April 27th at our Lincoln Park location (1841 N Clybourn), 12 Teams will face off for 20 minutes on our Versa-Climbers to reach the furthest distance. One in 44 American children is believed to be on the autism spectrum, but studies have shown that Black and Brown children, on average, are diagnosed later than White children, and are less likely to access critical assistance, due in part to racial bias and cultural stigma. Debra Vines is working to change all of that. Vines struggled to get support and resources when her son Jason was diagnosed with autism. Now, her nonprofit, The Answer Inc., provides families in underserved areas in and around Chicago with the support, services and community education they need to thrive.
