We are reaching out during a critical time for our shelter and the animals who depend on us. As one of Egypt’s leading animal welfare organizations, ESMA has been dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and protecting animals since 2007. Now, we need your help to continue our mission.

Why We Need Your Support

We’ve secured a second location for our emergency and TNVR center, a vital step in ensuring the safety and care of our animals. However, this new space comes with significantly higher rent and requires major construction to meet basic standards. Without these essential renovations, we won’t be able to transfer our animals safely in the coming weeks.

At the same time, we are struggling to find a new location for our other shelter. After inspecting over 38 locations, we have yet to find an affordable and suitable space. Many require complete infrastructure rebuilding, an expense far beyond our current means.

For over 15 years, ESMA has:

✅ Rescued countless emergency cases and rehomed animals in need

✅ Cared for special needs and vulnerable animals

✅ Advocated for stronger animal welfare laws and fought against cruel practices

A mother dog in Cairo was tragically run over, leaving her with a broken jaw, a fractured leg, and severe wounds. Despite her pain, she was still trying to care for her five vulnerable puppies—who are also in poor condition and in desperate need of vaccinations and care.

The Egyptian Society for Mercy to Animals (ESMA) has stepped in to help, but they urgently need support to cover the mother’s medical expenses. Due to her injuries and distress, she became aggressive toward veterinary staff when her puppies were near, forcing them to separate her from them temporarily. The sooner she gets treatment, the sooner she can safely reunite with her babies.
