HELP US EQUIP AFRICA BY SENDING A CONTAINER FULL OF BASEBALL EQUIPMENT

When you step into the batter’s box, you stand where so many have stood before; it’s rare to be the first person in a batter’s box. That is a daily occurrence for many in Africa. As baseball rapidly grows in countries throughout the continent, more and more baseball trailblazers emerge.

The Tomorrow’s Batters’ Box initiative is aiming to empower Angels at Bat to send our first solo shipping container to equip the next generation of baseball players, coaches, and fans. This effort is more than just a shipment of equipment; every ball, bat, and glove is a seed in establishing the baseball champions of tomorrow. For most players and coaches on the continent, any equipment they have access to has been donated by us or others with similar goals. Ensuring that everyone who wants to play baseball has access to the necessary equipment is invaluable in baseball's growth.

Since 2012, Angels at Bat has sent approximately 100,000 pieces of equipment to African baseball communities. Supporting baseball efforts in many countries on the continent, we are dedicated to ensuring that every child, youth, and adult that wants to play baseball equipment has access to it. This has led us to collect countless amounts of equipment from throughout the country. As a result, we have an estimated 15,000 pounds of equipment sitting in storage waiting to be sent; the only thing preventing us from getting this equipment to the hands of THOUSANDS of African players throughout the continent is the $30,000 fundraising goal. 

That is why we are launching the Tomorrow's Batters' Box initiative. The $30,000 fundraising goal covers not only the shipping of a full-size shipping container from the US to Nairobi, Kenya but also equipment storage so that our distribution efforts can be continuous and year-round. Previously, we have distributed all equipment within the first few months of our shipments arriving. We want to better support the growth of baseball on the continent; sending a container will catalyze tremendous growth!
