The doctors and nurses have been and continue to be overwhelmed with the thousands they have treated, some in critical conditions.

Lebanon has recently been torn by its recent explosion, only making life tougher for those who were dealing with COVID-19,  devaluation of the currency, and harsh economic situation. Over 300,000 lost their homes, over 5,000 suffered injuries, and more than 150 have passed or still missing. Hospitals are overwhelmed and forced to turn away injured people. Many cannot afford shelter, food, and medical attention due to the recent economic crisis.  Your dollars will be 100% tax-deductible as AUB is a US registered charity. Lebanon needs our help!

In the wake of the horrific explosion that devastated the city of Beirut yesterday, thousands are dead, injured, missing, or homeless. Let us come together to support all those affected during this critical time.

The nation was already suffering under the weight of an unprecedented economic crisis, political unrest, and a rising number of Covid-19 cases. Several hospitals were destroyed in the explosion, and without critical medical facilities functioning the consequences of these disastrous events will be only be multiplied.

Within minutes of the explosion, the American University Medical Center was providing care to the critically wounded and injured. The center was already working with limited staff and resources, and they are now in desperate need of donations so they can continue to give urgent medical services.

Lebanon is a beautiful country filled with rich history and culture. It is a place so many call home, and so many have come to love. The people of Beirut are heartbroken, scared, and in pain, but we can take action to reduce their suffering, and help out in this critical time. Right now, we urge you to donate to this fund. Contributions will be used to help gather more staff and resources who will directly provide life-saving services.
