American Rivers

Welcome to my GoFundMe page! I'm embarking on an incredible adventure: paddling the entire length of the Hudson River, from its pristine source at in the Adirondacks to the bustling waters of New York City.

This isn't just a personal challenge; it's a journey with a purpose. As an experienced paddler, a Registered Maine Guide, American Canoe Association (ACA) instructor, and a Ph.D. student in Natural Resource Management, I'm passionate about our waterways. Along this journey, I'll be doing my best to document my experiences through video shorts and hopefully a longer documentary-style film. A key part of this project will be taking water quality measurements as I descend the river to shed light on the river's health - highlighting how far we have come and the challenges the river still faces.

My goal is to connect with the communities along the Hudson, understand their relationship with this vital water source, and raise awareness about the critical importance of clean water.

This is why I'm dedicating this expedition to supporting American Rivers, an organization at the forefront of protecting and restoring our nation's rivers. I've set a fundraising goal of $10,000, and all funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly to American Rivers to help them continue their vital work in championing river health and clean water for all.
