Hi everyone! I don’t like to run or bike. But I do like to support causes that are close to my heart. So with the support of my incredible wife who will have to tolerate looking at me, and the ridicule from my children, I will be growing a mustache for the month of MOvember to raise money and awareness for the American Migraine Foundation.

Migraines are the number 2 cause of disability in the United States. 80% of those who suffer are women. While I am a member of the 20%, I am raising money for the American Migraine Foundation.

Hi Everyone! My name is Sweta, and I have had migraines for as long as I can remember. Since I was 5, I spent days after school in a dark room with a throbbing headache while my friends and classmates played sports, instruments, or spent time with family and friends. Some days at school, I would rush to the bathroom to vomit, but hopelessly end up vomiting in the hallway. As I grew older, I struggled studying for exams, making it to school on time, and paying attention in class because of my migraines. Many professors, classmates, and others would say, "It's just a headache," without understanding the excruciating pain that left me in a dark, lonely room where I battled my pain silently.

As I reflect on my childhood, teens, and twenties on my 30th birthday, I feel so fortunate to have had a doctor that supported me in my journey with migraines since I was 16.

I am now raising money to support those in need of resources on similar journeys and to fight the stigma around migraines—a silent chronic illness. Please donate to the American Migraine Foundation! Any help is appreciated!
