United in Helping the Lebanese People – UHELP
Dear Respected Members of the Lebanese Community in the U.S.,
In order to help our community in Lebanon overcome some of the hardships brought about by the devastating Covid-19 pandemic, the current economic and social situation we have to joined forces to establish the United in Helping the Lebanese People committee – UHELP with the sole purpose of helping out the following hospitals: Ain Wazein Medical Village (AWMV), Al Iman Hospital, AL Iman Hospital and Al-Jabal Hospital.
The main objective of the UHELP committee is to establish a monthly fund to support the current needs of these hospitals. These needs can be summarized as follows:
1- Expand the capacity of the existing intensive care unit, ICU, to accept the surge in COVID patients.
2- Provide financial support for a retention plan of physicians, Nurses and employees.
3- Purchase new and maintain the existing medical equipment.
Through your generous donations, we were able to support the additions of 16 ICU beds, eight at AWMV, four at Al Iman and four at Al-Jabal Hospitals. These beds are operational and are helping in saving lives and reducing some of the sickness and pain suffered by our families and friends.
With phase one successfully completed we need your support to continue with phases 2 and 3. We are asking for a monthly donation for one year, no matter how small, to help us provide survivability , stability and good functionality for these hospitals.
Our community in Lebanon continues to depend on your support and your donation can be the difference between life and death, no matter how small.
Thank you and God bless you all.
