In a normal year, Pine Springs Baptist Camp would host 2,500 campers. Unfortunately, 2020 was not a normal year—due to the pandemic, only 500 campers attended.


As a seasonal camp, Pine Springs relies on summer camp attendance to fund year-round operations. As a result, 2020 resulted in a financial shortfall.


Pine Springs has been impacting kids’ lives for almost fifty years. We desire to see this work continue. We (as alumni and friends of the camp) created this campaign to bless Pine Springs and help offset the financial shortfall from the pandemic.


Our goal is to raise $10,000 this year. If 1,000 former campers would give $10, we could easily reach that goal. Would you consider donating?


To get this going, I am donating $90—the current rate for one camper’s week of camp.

I want to fight the Coronavirus with a viral initiative of our own. 

 This year Bogg Springs would have had about 5500 campers spend a week with the Lord and each other.  Like many before them, this week would have forever been etched in their hearts and minds as they deepened their relationships with one another and our Lord Jesus. 

Doug Curtis and his team had prepared for another impactful year... and then Covid-19 happened.  Most camps have had to be cancelled.  As a result,  the camp will not only fail to receive the normal registration fees but they will also be out the money they invested to get ready for this summer's camp schedule.

As I've read Doug's Facebook posts, the Lord has moved me to challenge 5500 Alumni  (1 year's worth of campers) to give $20 (1 day at camp)  to make sure that "the Bogg" maintains its stable financial position.  $20 is about the cost of 1 day at camp and I think that is a small price to pay for the investment in the lives of the next generation.  (Doug did not ask me to do this!  I'm doing this on my own  to Bless the Bogg.)

The same God that has moved me to start this fundraiser is the same God that called me to ministry while at Bogg Springs almost 40 years ago at National Camp.  In the midst of HOT tabernacle services, COLD bunkroom showers, epic shaving cream fights, and spirited softball games, God spoke to me and the course of my life changed forever.  Many of you were there and spoke into my life back then.  Many of you told me to not let that beautiful blonde camper I was dating get away... and I listened!  Thank you!  Thank you Bogg Springs!

Many of you have had similar experiences. 

To get this started, Rhonda and I will pay forward a week for a camper in the future.  We've also set an audacious goal which will make the camp whole...  as if this virus never came.  I believe God can do abundantly more than we can imagine!
