The America-Mexico Foundation mission is to raise sufficient funds to ensure that students of high scholastic ability but low economic resources in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico may continue their education from 8th grade through university. 60 percent of our students don't have the basic services in their homes, but they are very bright students, with grades into 9 plus, most of their parents cant read or write, soo when they finish their schooling and start working the first thing they do is send their brothers and/or sisters to school. The program started in 1961 and has been going for 56 years non stop, initially with 5 students and now with approximately 400 students, Our annual Budget is 200,000.00 dollars per year. All of the funds go directly into the scholarship program.
