Parvo Photo Litter Pups - Amazing Mutts

Since we ended 2020, the Year of the Pandemic, AMPR was considered debt free!! We started the first week of 2021, with under 2000.00 in debt to our vets & suppliers. We quickly went to a zero balance because we fought hard to bring healthy happy pups to AMPR. We have the best partner rescuers, that have made a huge impact on helping us complete families here in NJ.
Sadly, February 27th, that took a turn for the worst. Transport was infected with an upper respiratory virus that affected our 30 pups & adult dogs. All of our precautions, all of our hard work with our fosters in Texas was for nothing. We have been working hard, with our vet, to get our dogs back to healthy. Then, unfortunately, we found out there were ill dogs taken aboard transport & brought north. 1 pup was left behind at a Georgia Vet (not from AMPR)due to seizures, other puppies tested positive for the deadly intestinal disease known as parvo on arrival. As you know, puppies, like babies, have weak immune systems and you can guess what happened next. Parvo spreads like a deadly wild fire.
Since Feb 27th, we have had 4 parvo pups, and 26 with upper respiratory disease. We have admitted the 4 pups, to our partner vet, Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. 1 pup has recovered and is doing amazingly well. Three remain in the hospital. We are drowning in medical bills. Even when you do everything right, dot your i's and cross your t's, if all dogs on transport aren't well, bad things happen.
We strive to bring healthy, happy pups into rescue. Cross Contamination on a public transport should not happen. Employees of transport must be conscious of their doings. Rescues, must take responsibility of their dogs & pups and NOT infect others. We guess, not everyone has the same goals, not everyone is as careful to details as we have been. This is detrimental to a rescue, our rescue. These poor Amazing Mutts are taking the brunt of it all and we need your help to get them better. We have tried to fundraise in this pandemic and it is very hard. We understand the impact of Corona on all of our lives and funds.
These bills speak for themselves. We are overwhelmed by the kindness of our supporters.
More information about Amazing mutts puppy rescue: We are a foster base puppy/dog rescue out of Cream Ridge, NJ. We help to vet, spay/neuter and find wonderful homes for both local and out of state dogs. Our main focus is to educate the community on spay/neuter. We pull locally from shelters and out of Southern Rural High Kill Areas. We save 4 paws at a time while focusing on Momma dogs and pups that are about to be euthanized, or surrendered. We pull all ages from newborns to seniors.
