Paiges 13th Birthday Request
Hi! My name is Paige and I’ll be 13 on May 2nd. I want to share something with you that’s become dear to my heart. The last
several years, our family has been certified to foster kids, and we adopted my youngest brother through the foster care system. I
wasn’t sure how I’d feel about kids staying with us, knowing they’d likely be leaving. I was surprised to realize that I loved every one of them that came to our home, and it showed me first hand how God loves us!
Over the past year, but especially more recently, my heart has been heavy with the desire to advocate for the pre-born babies, and I’ve been trying to figure out what that looks like. Our church has teamed up with a non-profit womens health clinic in Sacramento called Alternatives Pregnancy Center. Women faced with unplanned pregnancies get to hear the gospel and how much God loves
them and their babies. They also receive medical, emotional and material assistance.
A couple weeks ago my mom and I had the privilege of sitting in on a zoom update meeting with APC and although the numbers of abortions this year are staggering at over 14 million worldwide, it was also encouraging to hear what God is doing through APC.
I learned what it costs to operate on a daily basis, and told my mom, “My heart is broken, and I have got to do something to help!”
Instead of getting birthday gifts, I’d like to raise $2100, which is the cost of keeping APC open for one day. So, for my birthday,
would you please join me in supporting APC and the amazing work they’re doing for Gods glory? Please feel free to share this with others and thank you so much for reading!
