I need your Help to Transform Lives Through HVAC Training – aka AATC HVAC Boot Camp.
This is my passion. Hear my story. A Story of Struggle, Opportunity, and Change.
Growing up in Atlanta and Decatur, Georgia, I saw firsthand how skilled trades could change lives. I was fortunate enough to take vocational air conditioning classes in high school, which led me down a path to a lifelong career in HVAC. But I also saw too many young people—especially in African American communities—never get that same opportunity. Instead of learning a valuable trade, many struggled to find jobs, got stuck in low-paying work, or fell into cycles of hardship with no clear way out.
After serving in the U.S. Army, I pursued HVAC training at Dekalb Technical College, working my way from an apprentice to a service technician, business owner, and industry expert. Over the years, I’ve managed teams, built businesses, and gained certifications that allowed me to create my own success. But what about those who never had that first opportunity?
That’s why I founded Alliance Air Conditioning Training Center (AATC) HVAC Boot Camp—a nonprofit dedicated to providing hands-on HVAC job training to at-risk Americans and underserved communities. This program is about more than just learning a trade—it’s about breaking cycles of poverty, empowering young people with real skills, and making sure struggling families have access to heating and cooling services they desperately need to maintain the essential qualities of living in often degraded homes.
The Problem: A Lack of Access to HVAC Training & Services
In many underserved communities, young adults want to work, but they don’t have access to affordable, high-quality job training. HVAC programs at trade schools are too expensive, taking years to complete and costing $15,000 or more—far out of reach for many who need it most.
At the same time, many families are living without heat or air conditioning because they simply can’t afford the cost of repairs or new systems. Seniors, single parents, and low-income homeowners are often forced to suffer in extreme temperatures.
AATC HVAC Boot Camp solves both of these problems at once.
The Solution: A Specialized Hybrid Training Program
I’ve designed AATC HVAC Boot Camp to be different from traditional trade schools.
✅ Fully Hands-On Training: Instead of just sitting in a classroom, trainees work on real HVAC systems in real homes under instructor supervision.
✅ Short-Term, Intensive Learning: Our 3- and 6-month training programs get students ready for the field quickly—without years of schooling.
✅ Workforce-Ready Skills: Graduates leave with the knowledge to immediately get a job or start their own HVAC business.
✅ Serving the Community: Our program not only trains students but also helps struggling families by offering affordable HVAC services performed by supervised trainees.
We need your help to renovate our training facility, which includes:
️ A metal storage shed being converted into an HVAC training laboratory.
️ A small abandoned building (15 ft tall, 40 ft wide, 60 ft deep) needing rehab to become a classroom for technical instruction.
With your support, we can provide tools, hands-on instruction, and job placement opportunities for students who otherwise wouldn’t have access to this career path.
How You Can Help
$50-$100 – Helps purchase HVAC tools for students.
️ $250-$500 – Supports facility renovations and lab setup.
$1,000+ – Sponsors a student’s tuition, covering hands-on training, certifications, and job placement assistance.
Every dollar helps us change lives through workforce training. Your donation will allow us to equip young adults with real-world HVAC skills while giving back to struggling families.
Can’t donate? Please share this campaign to help us reach more people!
Together, we can transform lives—one HVAC system at a time.
