Aldersgate Camp & Retreat Center

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Aldersgate Camp & Retreat Center, and any donation will help make an impact. On Friday, October 23, 2020 I will be riding my bicycle from my hometown of Berea, Ky. to my second home of Aldersgate camp in Raven a, Ky. The total ride will be 45 miles. More information about Aldersgate Camp & Retreat Center: Located about an hour southeast of Lexington, KY, in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, Aldersgate Camp & Retreat Center of the United Methodist Church intentionally provides for faith development of individuals of all ages in Christ and in Christian community with in the natural beauty of God's creation. "Welcome Home" to where faith meets the mountains!

This year for my birthday, I want to help an organization that has been an incredible gift to me since I was a kid. Aldersgate Camp & Retreat Center is a place set apart that intentionally provides for the faith development of people of all ages in Christian community within the natural beauty of God's creation.

As with many other non-profits, Aldersgate largely relies on donations to make their ministry possible. Recently, their industrial dishwasher kicked the bucket and as you can imagine the replacement cost is no small fee. $8,000 is needed to replace the old dishwasher and to get their kitchen back to operating with efficiency. 

Giving money for a dishwasher doesn't really give the thrill or good feelings that giving to something more "life-giving" would, but trust me, when you help a place like Aldersgate replace an expensive, needed piece of equipment, you free up their funds for the feel good stuff!

They have already received a generous donation from a local church, but they still need $7,100 to buy a new industrial dishwasher.  Please consider giving to a dishwasher, yes, but also to a much bigger cause!
