Ramp Up for Dignity: Building Access for All!
Introduction: Hello, dear friends and community members,
We are the Alameda Christian Reformed Church, a warm and welcoming congregation nestled in the heart of Alameda, California. Our mission is simple yet profound: to be a joyful family of faith anchored in God’s word, reaching out to our neighbors with love and compassion as we offer hope and meaningful life in Christ. In light of this vision, today we come to you with aspirations of accessibility to express that love and compassion.
The Need: Our church family is diverse, representing various ages, abilities, and backgrounds. However, we recognize that not everyone can easily access our worship space. Our beloved church building, with its historic charm, lacks a crucial feature: an accessible ramp to the front entrance. For those with mobility challenges, navigating steps or the driveway in the back can be a barrier to full participation in our worship services, events, and fellowship.
The Dream: Imagine a graceful ramp winding its way up to our church entrance—a symbol of love, dignity, and equal access. With your support, we can turn this dream into reality. Our goal is to build a sturdy, ADA-compliant ramp that ensures everyone feels welcome, regardless of physical limitations.

Design: The engineering design has been completed, and a high level overview is displayed below of the ramp we hope to build.
All funds donated will go to the Renovation Fund with the accessibility ramp as the current top priority.
