Al-Firdous Seattle is fundraising
Ramadan-Lent: Community Hot Meal & Hygiene Kit Distribution
During this season of reflection, generosity, and community care, Al-Firdous Seattle is partnering with UW Black Leaders in Business and UW Muslims in Business to host a Ramadan & Lent Community Giving Event serving neighbors across the Greater Seattle area on March 14th.
Our goal is to prepare and distribute 100 care packages that include a hot meal (rice and chicken), a hygiene kit, and food supplies for community members who may be experiencing food insecurity or hardship.
Donations will go toward assembling hygiene kits that include essential items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, body wash, shampoo, body lotion, and feminine hygiene products. Contributions will also support the purchase of food and non-perishable items such as juice, water, granola bars, cup noodles, fruit cups, and crackers, in addition to ingredients for the hot meals that will be freshly prepared.
A total of 100 meals and care packages will be distributed throughout South Seattle, the Central District, Burien, West Seattle, and the University District to ensure support reaches communities across the region.
