Akanimo Cancer Foundation is dedicated to combating childhood cancer through three key initiatives in the US and Nigeria: 1. Raising awareness:Through community engagement, educational programs, and media outreach, we aim to break the silence that often surrounds this devastating disease. Our awareness efforts are designed to inform the public about the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer, the importance of early detection, and the current state of care in different jurisdictions. 2. Supporting affected families through treatment and bereavement: we provide comfort boxes, celebrate birthdays, provide grocery gift cards in the United States and in Nigeria, we liaise with the hospital to cover treatment costs of indigent children 3. Supporting research for better treatments and a cure.
