Support Education for Children at Togetherness School in Rwanda
A Crowdfunder for Impact, Illyasha Peete
In June, I spent time at the Togetherness School in Rwanda, a community rebuilt after the 1994 genocide through care, shared responsibility, and an extraordinary commitment to one another.
After the genocide, a young man named Steven stepped forward to support orphaned children.
And those children grew into the leaders who now guide Togetherness, caring for more than 400 young people.
Seeing their sense of community was powerful, everyday I saw young people lifting one another up and looking after their neighbors.
It is community in its purest form.
To make sure every child can access a quality education, these leaders created Togetherness School, which now serves more than 150 students from ages 3 through grade 4.
Togetherness School stands out because it offers:
- Small class sizes that help students learn with confidence
- Intentional encouragement for girls to attend and stay in school
- High-quality teaching in a nurturing and caring environment
- Financial support options so no child is ever left out
These opportunities are rare in this rural region, and this school is transforming lives.
Right now, this school faces a crucial moment...
To keep its government certification and meet the growing demand, Togetherness must expand its classroom space.
The total need is $25,000, and I am committed to raising $10,000 by January 15th.
Every contribution, given through their trusted partner, African Road will help build learning spaces for children who deserve every opportunity to learn and lead.
Your support honors a community that has already demonstrated what it means to lead with courage, care, and possibility.
And when we reach the $10,000 goal, I will complete the Ice Bucket Challenge on video and share it on my LinkedIn as our celebration of what we achieved together.
Will you stand with me?
Your gift today opens more doors for girls and boys who are ready to learn, grow, and lead.
