About Adopt Ohio
Our mission is to improve animal welfare by bringing communities together. We primarily assist unhoused people with their pets & pet owners experiencing a crisis event (such as job loss, housing insecurity, personal illness, disability, military deployment, etc). We support trap-neuter-return programs for managing the feral cat population & loan out humane traps to community members wanting to help in their neighborhood. We support low-cost spay/neuter initiatives. Due to space & financial limitations, our charity cannot accept animal surrenders. However, we do provide support to fellow organizations that do accept animal surrenders. We believe in a culture of teamwork. Our volunteers come from a range of marginalized identities within society because we value diversity & inclusion.
