The Capitol Theatre needs your help!
As of March 31, 2020, Aberdeen Community Theatre decided to put the rest of the 2020 season on hold, and also to cancel “Twelve Angry Jurors,” and YPT’s “The Bible... in 30 Minutes or Less.” We made this decision with the safety and well-being of our subscribers, patrons, volunteers, and staff in mind. It marks the first time in our 40 year history that our theater will pause performances. In the end, though, this is the right decision for everyone in our community.
This closure will be a tremendous hardship. Because of this, we are asking for the support of the community in the coming months. Until ticket sales can resume, your kind philanthropy is the only way ACT will be able to continue meeting its ongoing financial obligations, and to ensure the Capitol Theatre remains a vital part of Aberdeen’s Main Street.
We remain unshaken in the belief that theatre brings out the best in us and the best in you. With your help, our mission to provide both a learning platform for the youth of the community and, also, a creative outlet for the actor or artist in all of us will continue.
