About Access Ability Wisconsin (Access Ability WI (AAW))
Access Ability Wisconsin (AAW) works to transform thinking around opportunities to access the outdoors for those living with mobility challenges who are underserved and represent the entire face of society. AAW stresses the importance of including everyone, regardless of ability, as leaders and participants at the forefront of planning instead of as an afterthought or not at all. AAW accomplishes this by facilitating access to the outdoors for people of all ages, culture, ethnicities, and income levels. Adaptive equipment, in the form of outdoor all terrain wheelchairs and associated accessories, is purchased by AAW (>$26,500 per chair and an enclosed outfitted trailer) and loaned to individuals at no cost.
