Help India Fight COVID-19
Dear Friends,
My name is Anika, and I am in 8th grade at Roslyn Middle School. My grandparents and their close friends who emigrated from India started Aarti Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2001 in Queens, NY with a mission to help the less fortunate in India and the U.S. Over the past 20 years Aarti Foundation has helped many causes, such as providing food and clothing to homeless shelters and giving PPE to healthcare heroes during the peak of the U.S. COVID-19 pandemic last year. In India, the foundation has given medicines to treat many illnesses, offered free cataract surgeries at hospitals, given widows job opportunities to support their families, and given children the chance to go to school. Also, Aarti Foundation donated funds to help victims of natural disasters in Haiti (earthquake), New York (Superstorm Sandy), Texas (Hurricane Irma), and the Philippines (Typhoon Haiyan).
With over 28 million COVID-19 recorded cases and still a rising death toll, the people of India need our help in fighting this health crisis. Although we are oceans apart, WE can make a difference. Your donation can help save lives!
A unique aspect of Aarti Foundation, Inc. is that all the Board Members and Advisors are volunteers. There is no administrative cost for running this non-profit organization.
Therefore, 100% of the money raised during this campaign will be sent directly to non-government organizations (NGOs) Aarti Foundation partners with in India so they may provide medical supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), medications, meal kits, and other basic necessities to affected families.

The NGOs have Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) licenses, which are equivalent to a 501(c)(3) status in the U.S. Your funds will go to the following NGOs in India who are providing aid to their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic:
- AIDS Combat International (ACI) – Mumbai, India
- Niramaya Health Foundation – Mumbai, India
- Sanskar Tirth (Ajol) – Ahmedabad, India
- Matrudham Charitable Eye Hospital – Ahmedabad, India
- Sanskruti Foundation - Porbandar (Gujarat), India
I hope to continue the legacy my grandparents started by raising funds on behalf of Aarti Foundation, Inc. to support a great cause. Please consider donating today – every dollar counts!
