703 Warriors

Hi, everyone! I recently learned about an incredible grassroots nonprofit in Arlington, VA by the name of 703 Warriors. They are completely volunteer-run and offer competitive soccer, fitness, and life skills programs to kids who otherwise wouldn’t have access - completely free of charge. In only 18 months, they’ve already helped over 631 kids in the area!

Unfortunately, they’ve recently suffered an unexpected setback. A group of teenagers vandalized and destroyed their soccer goals by tearing them apart, bending the metal frames, and leaving the team with nothing to use:

Normally, for these kinds of organizations, replacing goals would be fairly simple - just another expense. But for a volunteer-run nonprofit without any paid staff and aspirations of serving disadvantaged youth, it’s a huge blow that threatens those goals.

While these circumstances have left the team's hearts heavy, they've displayed great resilience and confidence that they will bounce back stronger than ever! Their soccer goals were more than mere pieces of equipment - they represented joy, hope, growth, and dreams to children who showed up each week to learn, laugh, and play. Replacing them would demonstrate a strong community spirit; a reminder that setbacks never equal failure.
