We love our school but we need a gym! We’re planning to secure financing to fund most of the gym, but we need your help to raise the rest of the funds! Please consider donating and/or getting your local community to fundraise for a gym for our students. Our physical education classes are currently happening in an open lobby area and our sports practices are happening in a garage that is not even remotely designed to train our Cheetah athletes.

In 2019, after the increase in student numbers impeding on our available space, we moved into a new (to us!) space at 1125 Energy Park Drive in Saint Paul, MN. In 2022, MDS averaged 125 students, doubling in size from 2008 and currently, we have 145 students, but no gym!

Metro Deaf School promotes academic excellence and social well-being for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing students using an ASL/English bilingual approach. Our primary purpose is to empower our students to develop the skills and knowledge to succeed as global citizens.

1House 2Hands Inc. is an organization and board that works with MDS as a charter school and helps handle the finances for building projects for Metro Deaf School.
