Penning Family Relief Fund

Edited to Add: On Tuesday, July 9, while working alone in his service shop, Jeff Penning heard a woosh noise behind him. He turned to see a blaze and immediately left the building to phone the fire department. Jeff stood by and watched while 15 trucks from 7 departments attempted to save his building. The fire burned for hours, and the building sustained irreparable damages. The family has begun to sort through the debris to find if any equipment is salvageable. Jeff will not be able to bring in income at this time. This would be a tough situation for any family, but for the Pennings it is especially difficult. The car accident that Jeff’s wife Charity was in back in November has left Charity unable to work, uncovered by insurance or Disability. Neither Jeff nor Charity have any source of income at the moment. Please pray that insurance will cover the loss of Jeff’s business, pray for continued healing for Charity, pray that Disability will come through for Charity, and please consider helping out financially. They have 4 children, all dependent on Jeff and Charity for support.

Update on Charity: Charity had a surgery last month that has enabled her to put weight on her injured leg. After 8 months, she can walk! And just last week she bravely sat behind the wheel and began driving! She is unsteady on her feet and uses the aid of a walker or crutch, she still has a lot of healing to do and more surgery is a possibility, but she has come a long way from where she began! Praise God & thanks for all the prayers!

Original Story: On Thursday, November 8, a light snow brought about surprisingly treacherous driving conditions.  Charity Penning was in a car accident as a result of the black ice and has suffered numerous broken bones and injuries.  Charity has a long road of recovery ahead, and will remain hospitalized as she undergoes a series of surgeries to repair her injuries. It will be many weeks before she returns home.  As Charity is away from work & a paycheck, the household bills will accumulate as her medical expenses also accumulate. If you could give a little, it would help the family a lot!
