Sylvia Inwood, great singer -- even better friend -- has seen more than her share of trouble.
On July 19, doctors in Detroit discovered a mass behind Sylvia's right eye. It turned out to be what medical people call cavernous hemangioma and it will require surgery.
Sylvia is poorly insured and only working as a part-time freelance contractor. Surgery is expensive. We're not sure how much of it will be covered.
Adding to her existing financial troubles, she could easily lose her home and livelihood while living under the shadow of serious health issues.
The money we collect will be used to help defray Sylvia's living and medical expenses during this hard time.
